Faith Meets Opportunity
Referred to WPCC’s Recuperation Program in January 2025, a courageous newcomer found refuge after profound loss and homelessness. Supported by compassionate care, and anchored by faith, she secured work at La Bufadora and El Pollo Campero, rose to a management position, and, with Housing Navigator Rita, moved into her own place in Riverside. A New Beginning
Brian's Breakthrough
Brian made history as the first client ever housed through WPCC’s Imperial Valley program. When he arrived, he was newly discharged from a recovery home, separated from his wife of 30 years, and had no safe place to go. With wraparound support from our Recuperative Care program and partners like Encompass Housing, Brian not only stabilized—he thrived. He rebuilt his health, reunited with his wife, and found a permanent home in Brawley. Read how his story begins—and the beautiful way it ends.
Finding His Footing
Rudy's New Chapter
When Rudy first arrived at WPCC’s recuperative care facility, he faced several personal and health challenges. With support from our dedicated staff, he gradually stabilized, began managing his health, and built trust with his care team. Over time, Rudy reconnected with his family, shared his hidden talents, and started looking ahead to new opportunities. Today, Rudy is more confident, independent, and hopeful — a powerful reminder that healing is possible with the right support.
