Joaquin Zambrano

Joaquin Zambrano brings over 18 years of experience in social services, specializing in behavioral health and community‑focused wellness. His career is guided by a deep commitment to helping individuals and communities build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed for healthy social functioning, empowerment, and meaningful engagement.
Joaquin earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and began his professional journey as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician with Imperial County Behavioral Health Services. Over the course of more than 14 years with the organization, he became a respected leader known for his integrity, compassion, and ability to inspire multidisciplinary teams. His contributions advanced ICBHS’s mission of community wellness and strengthened programs centered on dignity, access, and hope.
Seeking new ways to expand his impact, Joaquin later founded Trinity Behavioral Health, an outpatient mental health clinic serving Imperial County. As Director, he broadened his leadership influence while remaining dedicated to creating environments where individuals can pursue healing, purpose, and personal growth. Today, in his role with Whole Person Care Clinic, Joaquin continues to champion transformative behavioral health initiatives across the region.
Joaquin also serves as a board member for the Imperial Valley Continuum of Care Council, where he contributes his clinical insight and operational expertise to regional efforts addressing homelessness, housing stability, and community wellbeing.
Grounded in his Mexican American heritage, Joaquin finds joy in traveling throughout Mexico and beyond—connecting with diverse cultures, people, and perspectives. He is committed to nurturing balance in mind, body, and spirit, believing that living with purpose and presence strengthens one’s ability to support others and cultivate meaningful connection.
